The Big Lunch initiative was shortlisted as Best Housing story 2012 at the NI Housing awards 2013, its aim is to create stronger, friendlier communities in which people start to share things, from conversation and ideas to skills and resources. Since starting in 2009, it has grown UK wide with a staggering 8.5 million people participating in 2012, when many celebrated the Queens Diamond Jubilee with a Big Jubilee Lunch.
