The Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children is on the lookout for teams to don their Olympic sportswear and compete in the charity’s Mini Olympics Challenge on Friday 27th July at Malone Rugby Football Club, to help raise money for local children, teenagers and young people living with cancer! The event will coincide with the opening ceremony of the London Olympics 2012.
We are looking for teams of five sporting competitors to compete in a series of individual and team Olympic style activities from Hurdles and 100m Sprint to Tug of War and Obstacle Course. For the more competitive athletes out there, there will also be serious track and field events including Shot Put and 500m relay.
Registration is £15 per person (includes a free burger from the BBQ). In addition, each team is required to raise a minimum sponsorship of £200 for NICFC.
Registration for the event will begin at 5pm with activities kicking off at 6pm. For further information on the Mini Olympics and to register your team please contact Joanna or Sorcha on 028 9080 5599 or email fundraising@nicfc.com.
