Free Volunteering Strategy Consultation Event

The Department for Social Development launched the consultation on the Volunteering Strategy for Northern Ireland on 2 July 2009. The consultation document sets out the Department's view about how volunteering can be encouraged and strengthened.

The Department wants to hear your views as part of this consultation to help ensure that the strategy meets the needs of volunteers and the organisations which involve them.  This free public consultation event hosted by the Department for Social Development will provide an opportunity for participants to have an overview of the contents of the Volunteering Strategy consultation document.  It will also provide an opportunity to engage in discussion on the issues and to provide feedback to the Department.  Each session is scheduled to last 3 hours.
