Free Inspiring Impact Masterclass

A masterclass in how to embed impact practice into your organisation. An opportunity to learn about the resources available through the Inspiring Impact Programme and a chance to learn from others through group discussion.

NICVA has secured funding from the Building Change Trust Inspiring Impact Phase 2 programme. This is an international collaborative programme, working to help organisations know what to measure and how to measure. It aims to support voluntary and community and social enterprise organisations and their funders to better understand and embed impact practice.

Through this programme we are offering a free masterclass to organisations, to help them consider and review how to measure and assess the impact they are having and from that having information to inform future developments.

The Masterclass will introduce you to the:

Keeping Children and Adults Safe: Training for Staff and Volunteers Refresher Training

This course is aimed at individuals who recruit, manage or supervise staff and volunteers working with children and/or adults. It will examine the procedures that need to be put in place for effective recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers including requirements under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order, the current and former definitions of regulated activity and how to exercise careful judgement when assessing information on an Access NI Disclosure Certificate. It will also look at the procedures required for the effective management of staff and volunteers including induction and training, breach of code of behaviour and referral to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The integrated in person training programme is aimed at those who engage with children, young people and adults at risk. It covers: Legal context and policy context of safeguarding children and adults Awareness of vulnerability Awareness of abuse issues Procedures for reporting concerns Procedures for creating a safe environment and assessing and managing risk Confidentiality Code of behaviour for staff/volunteers.
