This course leads to certification in the CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety.

This Course will allow you to apply for many positions in the food, hospitality and care sectors as well as being an important requirement for those already working.

The Course takes around 3 hours in total. It is normally delivered over 1/2 day or 1evening.

The Course is held in our offices at 51 Church Street, Portadown. We can also go and deliver the Training on our Premises

Yes there are 30 multiple choice questions.

How is the Course delivered? What will I learn?
The Course is very interactive and you will be supplied with all materials. You will learn about food poisoning, personal hygiene and how to keep food safe from delivery to service.
Who is the Course for?
This is an essential course for anyone working with food including cooking, preparing and serving. It previously was called “Basic Food Hygiene”. This is the refresher course for those who have completed their original course 3 years ago.
To be eligible to complete the Refresher your must produce a "Level 2 Award in Food Safety" Certificate either in Catering, in advance of your Course. If you cannot find your Certificate you should contact the Centre where you completed the Course for a replacement. You will not be able to complete a Refresher examination without this Certificate. It will examine the procedures that need to be put in place for effective recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers including requirements under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order, the current and former definitions of regulated activity and how to exercise careful judgement when assessing information on an Access NI Disclosure Certificate.
