What is the Course?
Level 4 Award in Food Safety
(Options in Catering and Manufacturing)
As a Training Organisation, The Training and Recruitment House is accredited by HABC/CIEH/FAA. This course leads to certification in the HABC or CIEH Level 4 Award in Food Safety.
We will automatically enrol you on the CIEH version unless otherwise requested.
What can I do once I complete the Course?
This Course will allow you to apply for many positions in the food, hospitality and care sectors as well as being an important requirement for those already working.
How long does the Course take?
The Course takes around 36 hours in total. It is normally delivered over 5 days.

Is there a test at the end of the Course? What is the pass rate?
Yes there are different exams depending on the awarding body. CIEH - 1 controlled assignment on HACCP, 1 Examination. HABC - 30 multiple choice questions and structured examination. Currently the pass rate is 81% with 6% gaining Merit

How is the Course delivered? What will I learn?
The Course is very interactive and you will be supplied with all materials. You will learn about food poisoning, personal hygiene and how to keep food safe from delivery to service.

Volunteer NowTraining/AdviceThis course is aimed at individuals who recruit, manage or supervise staff and volunteers working with children and/or adults. It will examine the procedures that need to be put in place for effective recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers including requirements under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order, the current and former definitions of regulated activity and how to exercise careful judgement when assessing information on an Access NI Disclosure Certificate. It will also look at the procedures required for the effective management of staff and volunteers including induction and training, breach of code of behaviour and referral to the Disclosure and Barring Service.- - -
