This FREE half day training has been developed in partnership with the Equality Commission and is being offered free of charge to volunteer involving organisations.

The aim of this event is to assist volunteer involving organisation to establish practices that will help to promote equality of opportunity and value diversity within their volunteer population.

By the end of the seminar, participants should have had an opportunity to consider:

  • the equality legal framework in Northern Ireland and how it relates to volunteering;
  • an implementation plan outlining the key steps to take when seeking to promote equality of opportunity in volunteering;
  • how best to communicate equality commitments and expectations;
  • recommended practice for volunteer involving organisations seeking to monitor volunteers across equality grounds.

Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are limited to a maximum of 2 per organisation.  If courses are fully booked, your details will be placed on a waiting list for future courses.
