Designated Officer Training

This is a one day certificated training course for Designated and Deputy Designated Child Protection Officers.

All participants must have completed a Child Protecdtion training course prior to attending this training.

 

The objectives of this training are to provide:

  • knowledge of the legal context within which they work;
  • an understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Designated Officer;
  • knowledge of Social Services structure;
  • exploration of attitudes towards abuse and neglect;
  • exploration of issues and concerns around referrals and sharing information.
