Is a Co-op right for you?
Co-operative Alternatives
Co-operative Alternatives is running two free training days – ‘Is a Co-op Right for You?’ – in Derry/Londonderry on February 16 at Enterprise North West premises and Cookstown on February 23 at the Rural Community Network premises.
The interactive training will:
- Outline the opportunities that a co-operative business model offers community groups and businesses
- Help groups already looking to start a business or organisation to determine whether the co-operative option is right for them
- Help groups identify what further work is needed to do before you are able to register as a co-operative
It will also outline the support available to community groups and businesses interested in becoming a co-operative through online resources and/or one-to-one support.
The Derry event takes place at the offices of Enterprise North West at 12-14 the Diamond and the Cookstown event at the Rural Community Network, 38a Oldtown Street. Both run from 10am to 4pm.
Co-operative Alternatives is the exclusive provider in Northern Ireland of the Hive, a UK cross sectoral programme of support for co-ops and community businesses.
