SIPTU believe more than 3000 employed workers have lost their jobs since 2010. Organisations providing vital services to the community must be better protected. SIPTU is hosting a Celebration of Community/Voluntary organisations in the Long Gallery, Stormont on 28th May 2012 from 11am-2pm where SIPTU member organisations can - Demonstrate the professionalism of your organisation with the political representatives - Invite political representatives to visit your organisation in their constituency - Display information relating to your organisation - Network, build and maintain relationships with other organisations. MLAs from the five main political parties have assisted us in organising this event. Support the introduction of a fair play/threshold of decency clause into every contract issues by the Government for public procurement contracts issued to the sector.
