#BigIdeas: Festival of Economics

Big Ideas: Festival of Economics will bring together key note speakers, panels, workshops and conversations to spark debate about the big ideas that could transform our economy. This massive event that will take over every nook and cranny of the NICVA building. 

Over 20 speakers are already confirmed who will be initiating dialogue about the following big ideas: 

• Massive debt cancellation 
• Universal affordable childcare
• Better economic data 
• Strategic use of procurement 
• Universal basic Income
• A tax on land not buildings
• Greater devolution of tax powers
• Political debate on a Left-Right economic axis

The Festival will also focus on practical skills development sessions on things like Understanding Economics and How to Cost Your Policy Ideas.
