Belfast City Council - let your voice be heard!

Belfast City Council

Belfast City Council

Over the past two years, we have asked residents in Belfast to tell us what kind of city they want and what we should be focusing on now to make this happen. We are holding four local information briefings to tell you about our plans and hear your views.

People want Belfast to be a city that provides a high quality of life for everyone who lives here and for the city to be a great place to work, study, visit or set up and grow your business.

The Belfast Agenda, the city’s first community plan, was developed and launched in December by city partners. This plan sets out our joint vision and long-term ambitions for Belfast, and outlines our priorities for action over the next four years.

One of our key responsibilities is to create the
Local Development Plan - a land-use plan which will shape how Belfast should develop up to 2035. The first stage of this process, the Preferred Options Paper, will be available for public consultation from 26 January.

Over the coming months we want you to tell us what you think about the Belfast Agenda and the Local Development Plan Preferred Options Paper. This will help us improve these plans and make sure they reflect the shared ambitions of people and communities from across Belfast. We are committed to improving the quality of life and experiences of all residents in Belfast.

Let your voice be heard by attending one of our events and hear about things happening in your area.
