Ballybeen & Beyond II Family Friendly Multi-Cultural Fun Day

Join Castlereagh Borough Council in a fun filled day of cultural celebrations at the Ballybeen & Beyond II event, Saturday 5 July 2014, Ballyoran Community Centre Dundonald, from 11am-4pm.  The event is open to all and will host an exciting range of entertaining and educational programmes, suitable for the whole family.

The Ballybeen & Beyond II event will build on last year’s successful launch and will include a variety of workshops and performances for everyone to enjoy from the Ulster Scots and African drums to traditional Brazilian dancing.  There will also be an opportunity to learn more about the ‘Different Drums of Ireland’, sample foods from around the world and watch the children’s football tournament which will showcase an array of upcoming football talent. Children can enjoy lots of fun activities with a climbing wall, bouncy castle and face painters - guaranteed to keep them entertained for hours!

The Mayor of Castlereagh, Alderman Jack Beattie MBE commented “The Ballybeen and Beyond II event is a great opportunity for communities to come together to share experiences and cultures.  This project will provide a platform to showcase the range of cultural talents we have within the Borough and will bring people together in celebration of diversity and promotion of inclusion for all”.

The Ballybeen & Beyond II event is hosted as part of Castlereagh Borough Councils’ Community Centre Development Programme and Good Relations Programme and is part financed by the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister.
