Tips for using Twitter?
Anybody new to the Twitter experience might take a while to find out some of the useful aids available, or some of the common abbreviations. What sort of things do you wish you had known when you started and what questions would you still like answers to?
To start the ball rolling:
With the 140 character limit, every space is valuable. When posting URLs, it's great to be able to shorten them. I use http://tr.im as it seems to have very short URLs and also the capacity to store them and generate statistics if you register and log in.
I know other people use TinyURL successfully too. Are there any others out there?
For image uploads, Twitpic seems to be a favourite, using the same login as your Twitter account.

Automatic URL trimming?
I pasted in quite a short URL from the BBC earlier today, directly into my tweet, and it trimmed it for me!
