Drinkaware's grants schemes aim to give local and national projects a fantastic chance to change the nation's drinking habits and make a positive difference to people's lives.

Drinkaware's grants schemes aim to give local and national projects a fantastic chance to change the nation's drinking habits and make a positive difference to people's lives. We offer dedicated funding to local and national projects working to tackle alcohol misuse by raising awareness about the negative effects of alcohol.

The schemes are open to projects working primarily with under 18s and 25-44 year olds in any part of the UK and encompass three levels of award:

  • Ideas Fund, sums up to £2,000
  • Awareness Projects, sums up to £25,000
  • Big Impact Award, sums up to £100,000

Project costs are available for many types of alcohol awareness projects including community based work, alcohol education, including peer-led education, and awareness raising with disadvantaged people who are are at risk of harm from alcohol misuse.  Funding will focus on work that delivers the most impact for beneficiaries and work that contributes to learning, for example the development of replicable models of effective working.

This is a rolling programme with no application deadlines.  We encourage projects to read the eligibility criteria carefully and call the Grants Team on 0207 307 7455 to discuss their work before applying.  Detailed funding guidelines and the application form are available from the Drinkaware website: www.drinkaware.co.uk
