I am keen to hear people's views on donor management software - I would like to be able to provide a low cost (or free) database tool for managing donations but is there anything already out there?
I have been thinking for ages of providing a fairly basic donor management tool which can be used by small capacity organisations and others.
Is there anything already out there which is good and easily picked up? I haven't been able to find it yet.
I am working on a simple database to record contact details, donor profiles, donation records and gift aid information. Would this be any use to anyone out there?

Donor Management Database Meeting
We have organised a meeting on 16 September to consider what we would want from a donor management database. More information is available from this link.

Online solution Wild Apricot
A free solution would be great, of course. Meanwhile, I settled for an online membership management solution provided by Wild Apricot.
I use WA for my organisation's main website; I don't have members, per se, but individuals can sign up to receive newsletters etc.
Ecommerce facilities are built in, which is useful for paid memberships and paid events. You can then run reports on this.
Not free, I know, but reasonable for those organisations with less than 500 members/names.

Thanks for this Allan - I will take a look at it
Donor management system
A generic system would be very useful. I have been researching Raisers Edge Grow and a system from Iris - costs are probhibitive for small charities.
Donor Management
Thanks Valerie - Raisers Edge is certainly the best known - would be interested to hear what you have learned
I think this would be very
I think this would be very helpful for organisations who have a small/growing donor base.
Neil, have a look at the link
Neil, have a look at the link I've posted below, it might just cover what you need/want and save some time on development......

Access Template
Thanks for this Paul - unfortunately this more basic than what I would would from a donor management tool but no doubt might be exactly what some others are looking for. I will add a few screen shots to show the sort of information I would like a database to capture.
