Marie Curie Cancer Care's Regional Events Team is in need of volunteers for a variety of different roles, to help them to continue to deliver high quality, well organised and enjoyable events throughout Northern Ireland.

A series of four surveys have been carried out with Volunteer Now members between 2009- 2011. The focus has been to monitor the impact of the economic downturn and public expenditure cuts on volunteer involvement and volunteer management practices.

We are currently looking for groups that will be able to benefit from a vast array of skills and support that Northern Ireland companies can offer - for FREE! Volunteers are ready to tackle your project in 2012 and really make a difference to your group!

WITH youth unemployment nearing its highest rate in Northern Ireland for more than 15 years the services provided to young people, often outside of the mainstream, through Include Youth’s Give and Take Scheme can be invaluable.

DERRY tutor Lisa Blee had worried the young person she’d been paired with might not like her but after more than two years of volunteering with Include Youth she says she has no regrets.

AFTER being made redundant Leone Boyle decided upon a complete career change and embarked on a journey into youth work.

CHARLOTTE Turner had never worked directly with vulnerable young people before; keen to try something different she applied to be a mentor with Include Youth’s Give and Take Scheme.

The British Transplant Games are being held 4th – 7th August in Northern Ireland. Over 70 volunteers have been recruited to support the delivery of the Games and will carry out a variety of roles .

Volunteer Now has celebrated their first birthday and launched the new website www.volunteernow.co.uk on board Lagan Legacy - The Barge – a floating cultural centre moored on the River Lagan.
