The launch was held at Parliament Buildings, Belfast, and was attended by Fermanagh's MLAs - Tom Elliott, Michelle Gildernew and Thomas O Reilly.

Other guests included trustees, staff and representatives from the Greg Turley Bursary Awards Panel, Fisher Foundation, Joan Trimble Awards Fund and the Killesher and Cleenish Community Care Fund.

Ms Joanna McVey, chair of The Fermanagh Trust said, ‘‘The Trust has come a long way since it was established in 1995, we have had the great privilege of being in a position to work with so many good people and contribute to life in Fermanagh and beyond".

Guests learned how the Trust has managed over half a million pounds in financial support for the benefit of people in Fermanagh and raised financial support for a wide range of local projects.

County Fermanagh is the only county in Northern Ireland to have established a county wide community foundation.

‘‘It really was terrific to look back over ten years and see what the Trust has achieved providing financial support to so many worthy initiatives as well as practical support and advice through our mentoring, networking and research initiatives. It is so important that we all take time to reflect on our achievements and celebrate our work,’’ said Ms McVey.

'Fermanagh – People, Places and Philanthropy’ is supported by the Barrow Cadbury Trust.
