A massive difference

Speaking at the presentation, Director of the Asperger’s Network, Sharon Doherty, said:

"This laptop will make a massive difference to the way we can work. We will now be able to deliver training outside our offices, making it easier for parents to find out their rights."

Feargal O’Kane of the ICT Consortium NI, said:

“The Asperger’s Network is a great example of a small organisation using technology to improve lives. We’re delighted that this laptop will go to a group with big plans on how to put it to work.”

Survey

The consortium’s survey ran in November and December. It was designed to find out the issues around ICT in the voluntary and community sector. The findings from the survey will feed into the ICT strategy currently under development.

The survey received an overwhelming response, with almost 200 organisations taking the time to complete the survey. The consortium hopes to publish the survey’s findings in the near future, and you can keep up to date with its work at www.ictconsortiumni.org.
