North Belfast Community Transport is open for business from 3 July 2006. The project funded by Urban II will provide transport by community minibuses for use throughout North Belfast. Fully accessible each minibus can hold up to 15 passengers. There are 5 minibuses that can be provided with a North Belfast Community Transport driver or hired on a self drive basis.
If you would like to hire vehicles on a self drive basis then your nominated driver will need to have completed the Minibus Driver Awareness Certificate (MiDAS). Training is available through North Belfast Community Transport. A MiDAS certificate is necessary for all drivers to be covered by North Belfast Community Transport's fully comprehensive insurance.
Manager Kellie Armstrong said " This is a wonderful project which will develop community transport throughout North Belfast. We can provide accessibility for all local residents, community groups and associations. Give North Belfast Community Transport a call to find out how we can help your organisation with transport needs".
