Campaigners representing over one hundred organisations in the Human Rights Consortium met David Hanson MP on Valentine's Day to urge him to show leadership on a Bill of Rights in Northern Ireland.
Patrick Corrigan of Amnesty International, one of the members of the Consortium, said, "We are calling on the government to show leadership and establish a roundtable process to help create a Bill of Rights that would protect the rights of all and have the support of all."
The Consortium advocates the inclusion of political parties and representatives from civil society in the roundtable process.
