Mencap Bangor takes the initiative to get to its neighbours better.
Mencap in Bangor has launched a new project called Connecting with the Community to help to develop stronger community links between the service users living at Queens Parade home and the groups and societies in Bangor.
Kieran Maxwell, scheme manager for Mencap said, "This project is about making contact with our neighbours and connecting with our community in Bangor.
We have already begun working with several community groups, clubs and societies but we are keen to involve more. We are encouraging local clubs, societies and organisations in Bangor to contact us and to become involved."
