Bob Collins, Chief Commissioner of the Equality Commission, said
The new Commissioners who have been appointed will bring their own unique experience and expertise to the important task of promoting equality of opportunity and combatting all forms of unlawful discrimination, and I look forward to working with them in fulfilling this responsibility."
Mr Collins paid tribute to all those who would reach the end of their term of office at the end of July. “The Commission has benefited greatly from their knowledge and expertise and also their professionalism and commitment”, he said. “They have given generously of their time and abilities in working towards the practical realisation of equality in all aspects of this society.”
"I am confident the new and continuing members of the Commission will maintain the commitment and enthusiasm of the outgoing members in working to develop a more equal, shared and inclusive society where all are treated fairly and everyone’s contribution is valued."
