John Daly launched the Northern Ireland Institute of Fundraising Annual Convention at Queen’s Sports brand new state of the art Climbing Wall.
The Institute of Fundraising Convention NI is sponsored by JMT Direct and takes place on 28 June 2007 at the Ramada Hotel, Belfast.
John has been involved with a number of charities across Northern Ireland for many years and is aware of the challenges in fundraising and in trying to communicate a charity’s core message. John Daly said
‘I am delighted to launch the Institute of Fundraising Annual Convention in Northern Ireland. Charitable organisations play a very important role in Northern Ireland society and implement a variety of life changing programmes across the province and internationally. However it is increasingly difficult to raise money but this is where the Institute’s Fundraising Convention steps in to deliver a range of seminars to help all fundraisers and community groups to ‘raise your game’ and I would encourage everyone to take part if you can’
This will be the second year for the Fundraising Awards which will take place during lunch at the Convention. Charities are encouraged to nominate their volunteer of the year and/or best fundraising campaign or event; however time is running out to get those nominations in. Special rates apply for Community Groups. There are bursaries still available for those organizations and charities with a turnover of less than £250,000, thanks to Lloyd’s TSB Foundation.
Charlotte Trinder, current Chair of the Northern Ireland IOF Committee said
‘Community Groups have always played a vital role in Northern Ireland and are a very important part of the Convention. To reflect this we have a special selection of seminars targeted specifically to Community Groups, and I invite all Community Groups to get in touch now on 07790033973 to attend the Convention on June 28th’.
