VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY PROJECT (VOP)

This Project aims to offer challenges and opportunities, set standards for volunteers, increase recognition for volunteering as an expression of citizenship and make a positive impact within local communities.

The applicant must be able to use effective communication skills with Deaf/Hearing impaired, preferably through sign language. Must have completed Level 1 in BSL or ISL, relevant experience of working with volunteers in a community or youth work setting and have a driving licence or be confidence in using public transport.

Ideally applicants should have a proven track record in co-ordinating similar projects. The successful applicant should expect to travel throughout Northern Ireland.

The position will be a 1-year fixed term contract working 25 hours per week including flexible hours and some weekends
