Phab NI Inclusion Matters wishes to engage 3 Summer Scheme Coordinators on a fee basis (maximum £1,200 per person) to organise and run its inclusive “Children Embracing Diversity” programme for children age 6 – 13 from a variety of ethnic backgrounds with and without disabilities, which will be held in Armagh from 20 – 31 August 2006.

The successful candidates will have a relevant qualification and 2 or more years’ experience in planning and running creative playgroups, summer schemes, or youth work activities, and will have been POCVA checked.

Children Embracing Diversity is a fun packed, creative and activity based 2-week programme, which includes children age 6-13 from all ethnic backgrounds with and without disabilities. It is firmly rooted in the principles of Equity, Diversity, and Interdependence. The key theme for the Armagh programme is “Equity”, and will be explored through a wide range of inclusive play activities, creativity and Art, Drama and Dance, Music and Poetry, outings and visits to interesting and inspiring places.

This programme is supported by the Youth Council for Northern Ireland and Phab NI Inclusion Matters. Phab NI Inclusion Matters is the principal independent and voluntary youth work organisation working for social inclusion of young people with and without disabilities in Northern Ireland.
