The post holders will promote, publicise and raise awareness of the arrival of the BIG BUS Action Cancer's state-of-the art mobile service that will provide lifestyle education, emotional support and life-saving early detection services.

This role will primarily be based at each Action Cancer regional base but will also require delivery of services on-board the BIG BUS, throughout Northern Ireland. The Networking and Team Coordinator will also identify opportunities for the deployment of the BIG BUS, within the specified location and network with key individuals and groups to identify potential venues, bookings and general usage of the service. As the Networking and Team Coordinator they will have responsibility for co-ordinating the service provision both in their region and onto the BIG BUS.

Personnel Specification

Essential

  1. Minimum of one years experience in project coordination or marketing and/or administration.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Five GCSEs including Maths and English Language at Grade C or above; or equivalent in NVQ Level 2 qualification.
  4. Proven ability of working under minimum supervision.
  5. Experience and competence with ICT in particular Microsoft Office Products.
  6. Ability to work flexibly and to work evenings and weekends if necessary.
  7. Current full driving licence and access to a car to enable travel throughout N.Ireland or some other form of transport to allow the post holder to carry out the duties of the post in full.
  8. Experience of team working.

Desirable

  1. Third level qualification in relevant subject such as business, marketing, social/community work etc.
  2. Knowledge of community development and experience of working with community groups.
