The Director of Services – Family and Children - will be one of two Directors, working with the Chief Executive to lead and support our organisation in the development and delivery of services and policy. Having knowledge of the funding environment of the voluntary sector, he/she will be able to identify and develop relevant areas of work that test practice and advocate on behalf of children and families.

Essential Criteria

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Five years relevant management experience.
  • A sound knowledge of the Criminal Justice System.
  • Experience in delivery of services to children and families .
  • A skilled communicator, able to confidently present and promote the work and policies of the Association.
  • Experience of fundraising and income generation.
  • Experience of using computers to ECDL standard or equivalent.
  • Access to transport which will enable the postholder to carry out the requirements of the job.

Desirable Criteria

  • Providing input into Human Resource Management Strategy.
  • Holding recognised qualification in Social Work or its equivalent.
  • Having supervised directly/indirectly up to 20 staff full-time or part-time equivalence.
