Promoting and defending human rights is a global challenge. In this rewarding role at Amnesty International’s Belfast office, you’ll help ensure that children in Northern Ireland have access to the best human rights education available.
For a professional with at least two years’ experience in the education sector, possibly as a primary teacher or in another role which supports children or teachers, this is a fantastic chance to diversify. You’ll be the first point of contact for schools and partner agencies in Northern Ireland working as part of a project team to implement the Cross Border Primary Human Rights Education (HRE) Initiative, a joint initiative of Amnesty International, the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation, the Ulster Teachers’ Union and Education International. Your role will be crucial to the success of the project. That’s why you should have some experience of project management and delivering training as well as an understanding of the Northern Ireland curriculum and human rights education.
If you feel as strongly about human rights as we do you will find this a challenging and satisfying role.
Closing: Tuesday 24 January 2006.
