Citizens Advice is seeking to recruit an Administrator who will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Borderwise Cross Border Advice and Information Project.
Borderwise, a Cross Border Advice and Information Project has been awarded further funding by the Special EU Programmes Body through the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland under Measure 5.4 of the Peace II Extension funding programme, to deliver a range of cross border advice, information and training initiatives in the Border region.
This project is a joint partnership between Citizens Advice, N. Ireland, and Comhairle.
Citizens Advice is the largest advice agency in Northern Ireland dealing with some 220,000 enquiries a year via a computerised network of 27 main offices and over 100 other outlets across Northern Ireland.
Comhairle is the statutory agency in Ireland responsible for supporting the provision of information, advice and advocacy to the public on the broad range of social and civil services. Comhairle works closely with a number of voluntary and statutory bodies, is the support agency for the network of Citizens Information Services (CIS), the Citizens Information Phone Service and operates the Citizens Information website.
To undertake the activities of the Project, Citizens Advice who are the employing body, now wish to recruit an Administrator for the duration of the project for a fixed period until 30 June 2008.

Based at a location which could be in the Border Region, Belfast or Dublin, the Administrator will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Project.
Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year’s experience (gained within the last 3 years) of working in a secretarial/administrative capacity, 5 GCSE’s or equivalent (including English and Maths), or Leaving Certificate Ordinary level or equivalent (including English and Maths).
Alternatively, applicants must have 3 years experience of working in the provision of secretarial and administration support .
