Northern Ireland Deaf Youth Association (NIDYA) Volunteer Opportunities Project (VOP)
Requires a VOP Coordinator

25 hours per week
£14,723 pro rata

Your Job will be to develop exciting new projects to engage Deaf Youth and to maintain our current volunteer projects. You will seek new opportunities to create funding and training initiatives and to foster a positive local impact within the wider community.

The applicant must be able to use effective communication skills with Deaf/Hearing impaired, preferably through Sign Language; have relevant experience of working with volunteers in a community or youth work setting and have a driving licence or be confident in using public transport.

Ideally applicants should have a proven track record in co-ordinating similar projects. The successful applicant should expect to travel throughout Northern Ireland.

This position will run to March 2008 with a possibility of extension, dependant on further funding. The applicant will be expected to work 25 hours per week to include flexible hours and some weekends.
