The post holder will support the Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Management Team lead, manage and implement a significant period of change, innovation and growth across the organisation and the early year's sector.

The post holder will join an organisation which has recently reorganised its structures and services to reflect a commitment to improving long term outcomes for children, families and communities.

The post holder will be part of an exciting and dynamic process which will lead significant change and innovation across services for young children in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The post holder will deputise for Chief Executive Officer as appropriate.

Criteria

  1. A postgraduate level qualification (or equivalent) in the field of Early Years or Education or Business Management or Social Work or Social Science or Community Development.
  2. A minimum of five years previous senior management experience (in the last ten years) working in a large, complex service orientated organisation in the private, voluntary, community or public sector.
  3. A minimum of three years previous experience (in the last five years) in managing staff performance to achieve high standards of service delivery.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of the public policy environment in relation to services for children.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of the financial and funding environment in relation to services for children in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
  6. Demonstrate knowledge of implementing organisational quality improvement programmes.
  7. Demonstrate ability preparing and delivering written and oral reports, papers and publications.
  8. Demonstrate ability to analyse data, trends, statistics, and performance measures.
  9. A full current driving licence enabling the holder to drive in NI and have the use of a vehicle for official purposes or have access to a form of transport that will enable the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full.
