The successful candidate will be required to manage and coordinate the Inclusion element of the NIPPA Atlantic Philanthropies Project and the Respecting Difference Project.

  1. A pass level degree (or equivalent) in Education or Early Childhood Care and Education or Social Work.
  2. A minimum of three years (in the last five years) experience in providing recognised training and curriculum support to staff working in an early years setting.
  3. Demonstrable experience in preparing and developing training programmes.
  4. Demonstrable experience and understanding of the issues relating to inclusion and the challenges presented by developing inclusive practice in early years.
  5. Demonstrable experience in facilitating groups and using strategies to engage staff, committees and parents in particularly challenging issues.
  6. Demonstrable working knowledge of the research and theory that underpins and supports the role of Inclusion & Respecting Difference in early years.
  7. Demonstrate knowledge of current legislative and policy frameworks in relation to early years, equality and shared future.
  8. Demonstrate an understanding of the community and voluntary early years sector.
  9. Demonstrable working knowledge of current funding programmes.
  10. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external relations.
  11. A full current driving licence enabling the holder to drive in NI and have the use of a vehicle for official purposes or have access to a form of transport that will enable the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full.
