Network Support Worker required for Lisburn Community Network

This post is a Fixed Term Contract until the 30th June 2008. This term may be extended subject to funding.

Salary: NJC 25 (£20,235)

To provide support to and develop the capacity of Lisburn’s community and voluntary groups through mentoring support and related programmes.

Essential Criteria

  1. A 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. community development OR at least 2 years experience of paid employment gained within the last 5 years, working in the area of local community development.
  2. Experience of planning, developing and implementing programmes with community and voluntary groups.
  3. Knowledge and experience of funding for the community and voluntary sector.
  4. Computer literate, familiar with use of the Internet, email and the Microsoft Office Package to include excel and access.
  5. Effective communication skills - both oral and written. Must demonstrate ability to work on a range of levels i.e. with local groups, with statutory agencies and funders.
  6. Experience in maintaining and submitting financial records and claims for a project.
