General Manager 80/20 Recycling

80/20 Recycling” is a not-for-profit company set up in 2007 to help the environment and create jobs, training and volunteering opportunities for local people in the greater Newry area by collecting and recycling waste timber. The project is Neighbourhood renewal focused and will involve the community working with long term unemployed, people with disabilities and mental ill health. The management committee wish to recruit a general manager to develop this business to its full potential.

Hours: 37.5 Hours

Location: Win Business Park

Salary: £28,000

Closing Date: 20 March 2008 at 4pm

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Degree level qualification and at least 2 years experience of business and/or project development and management including managing staff and budgets or
• 5 years relevant experience in business and/or project development and management including managing staff and budgets.
• 2 years experience in paid or unpaid capacity working with social enterprises,community, voluntary or independent sectors.
• Driving licence and access to own transport.

Desirable

• Degree and 5 years experience in above.
• Experience of voluntary, statutory and independent sectors.
• Knowledge of recycling issues and relevant legislation.
• Knowledge of disability, equality and other social inclusion issues.
