The Head of Consumer Affairs will be responsible for managing the Consumer Affairs Section and will formulate, implement and review Consumer Council policy on public transport, food and other consumer related issues. The ideal candidate should have a degree or equivalent, together with a minimum of three years' experience in a similar role including experience of research, policy development and staff management.
The Consumer Council is the leading consumer body for Northern Ireland. Our key aim is to make the consumer voice heard and make it count. Your skills will be used in a challenging, motivating and rewarding environment.
This is a key position in the Senior Management Team with overall responsibility for the Consumer Affairs Section. The appointment requires an individual with an ability to prioritise a varied and demanding workload and functions while ensuring the efficient running of the Consumer Affairs Section in the context of the Corporate Plan and Consumer Strategy. The post will also be required to represent the Consumer Council to external audiences and the media.
Salary Range: £24,804 - £36,650
