Professional supervision will be provided together with access to continuing professional development.

NJC Points 29-33, £23,175 - £26,187
Which equates to £13,242 - £14,964 for 20 Hrs (Pro Rata)

ESSENTIAL

  • Recognised Diploma in Counselling or equivalent.
  • Should hold (or be currently working towards) professional accreditation as a counsellor (eg: BACP; IACP; UKCP etc.)
  • Minimum 2 years counselling experience, working under professional supervision.
  • Must be able to demonstrate awareness of and adherence to a recognised professional code of ethics and standards (eg: BACP Ethical Framework)
  • Access to a car or appropriate transport to allow jobholder to perform duties adequately
  • Flexibility to work some evening and/or weekend sessions.

DESIRABLE

  • Previous experience of counselling work in the cancer field
  • Previous experience of group work
  • Experience in the design and/or delivery of counselling training courses/sessions.
  • 3 years or more counselling experience, working under professional supervision.
  • Possession of a relevant degree (eg: psychology/social work) and/or post graduate qualification.
  • Recognised qualification in couple counselling and/or psychosexual therapy.
  • Experience of carrying out counselling research
