Lifestart is a home based, parenting educational programme, specifically for all parents of children from birth to five years of age. The successful candidate will be based in Edenderry Nursery School and will deliver the programme in the Greater Shankill area.

Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, ILM Level 2 in Team Leading or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years practical experience, or 5 years practical experience working with children and families in a community based early years setting in a paid capacity.
  • Have experience in:
  1. Working with parents, individually or in groups
  2. Reporting
  3. Networking
  • Have IT Skills e.g. (Word Processing, Power Point, Excel)
  • Have multi-tasking, time management and excellent communication skills.
  • Hold a full driving licence and has access to a car.

Desirable:

  • Experience in delivering community based educational programmes and a good appreciation of family and cultural differences.

Salary: £15,504 (NJC Scale 5 Point 22)
