You will be responsible for providing help, support and communication skills development to stroke survivors and people living with aphasia. The Speech and Language Therapist will conduct clinical assessments of new service users and work with Conversation Groups to encourage and facilitate communication skills development. You will be based from our Coleraine office and support service users in the Derry, Strabane and Coleraine Conversation Groups.
The Speech and Language Therapist will be an integral part of the Operations Team and will act as a link between the service user and other internal Speechmatters - Part of The Stroke Association service coordinators. This role also involves liaising with colleagues in the statutory sector with the aim of creating awareness of the organisation and to encourage referrals to Speech and Language Therapy Services and other services available through Speechmatters - Part of The Stroke Association.
Applications are welcome from recently qualified therapists as experience is desirable but not essential.
