Ligoniel Improvement Association is recruiting a LVREP Administration and Finance Assistant

This is an innovative and community led initiative that will aim to support, encourage and strengthen individuals - and in some cases groups, organisation and networks - to increase their ability to contribute to the regeneration of Ligoniel through the Ligoniel Village Regeneration Empowerment Partnership (LVREP).

Project Description

To provide financial administration support and secretarial assistance to the lead partner, project manager and project committee.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assisting in implementing and maintaining the LVREP financial records and procedures.
  2. Provide funder with project financial reports and expenditure claims.
  3. Assist management team in the completion of budgets.
  4. Maintain records of account transitions.
  5. Maintain records of project and bank account activity.
  6. Assisting with payroll.
  7. Pay all invoices as instructed and maintain proper records and filing systems.
  8. Be available during all financial inspections.
  9. To act as secretary and administrator to the other Community Empowerment Partnership (CEP) workers.
  10. To provide secretarial and administrative support to the project committee and Sub group.
  11. To undertake job related training if required.
  12. To attend meetings and conferences etc as directed.
  13. To undertake such other tasks as may be required by the Director and the Management Committee.

Attainments

Essential

  1. Recognised IT and administrative/secretarial qualification.
  2. Knowledge and practical experience of SAGE payroll and SAGE accounts.

Desirable

  1. Good communication and organisational skills.
  2. Ability to work on his / her own and as part of a team.
  3. Good inter-personal skills.

Duration: Until March 2007

Salary: £15,675 (NJC point 18)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Holidays: 24 days per annum plus 11 statutory holidays.
