The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is currently seeking to recruit two Community Development Officers to deliver a short term community arts project aimed at communities who have had little or no engagement in arts activity and could be described as operating within a weak community infrastructure.
Secondment Opportunity
The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is currently seeking to recruit two Community Development Officers to deliver a short term community arts project aimed at communities who have had little or no engagement in arts activity and could be described as operating within a weak community infrastructure.
The Community Development Officers will operate in both urban and rural communities throughout Northern Ireland. They will be principally based at the Arts Council’s offices in Belfast and flexible working arrangements will be considered.
The officers should have a sound knowledge of community development issues and a firm understanding of the role of arts as a tool for community development.
Both these posts are being offered as an immediate secondment opportunity from until April 2008 and will be in the salary range of £26,187 to £28,221 (NJC scale April 2006) per annum pro rata.
Selection will be by way of an informal interview and expressions of interest should be by current CV and be received no later than Thursday 23 August to this office.
