Rural Community Network is the regional rural community/voluntary organisation and articulates the voice of rural communities on policy issues in relation to rural poverty, disadvantage and equality. It is one of the leading organisations responsible for promoting community development and networking in rural communities throughout Northern Ireland. Due to maternity leave, RCN wish to recruit a Community Development Officer for six months up to July 2007.
The successful applicant will assist in delivering the Capacity Building Towards Reconciliation Programme which focuses on offering training and support to community groups at an early stage of development throughout Northern Ireland.
Applicants must have a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline as well as two years relevant experience in a similar role or 5 years relevant experience at officer level and a community development qualification.
Salary Scale: NJC 32-36 (£25,437 - £28,221)
