To develop and manage NIDYA’s established Mentor Service which is accessible to all young Deaf and hard of hearing people living in Northern Ireland.
To form and manage a team of mentors, ensuring appropriate training and policies are in place.
Ideally applicants should have a proven track record in coordinating similar projects.
The applicant should be able to use effective communication skills with Deaf and hard of hearing people.
The successful applicant should expect to travel throughout Northern Ireland in the role of Mentor Coordinator, therefore it is essential that he/she should be able to fulfil the mobility requirements of the post.
This post is fixed term contract until 30 March 2008 - subject to funding
