Position: Finance & Admin Officer
Closing Date: Fri 5 October 2007
Term: until March 2008 (extension subject to further funding)
Salary:

£13,600 per annum
Hours: 30 per week

Main duties include:
- Manage and oversee an efficient and effective administration system.
- To assist with the monitoring and control of all financial and non-financial records within the company.
- The post requires the individual to be self motivated, confident and competent in written and oral communication skills and to be an effective organiser. In addition the nature of the work requires that a high degree of confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Financial
- To assist with the financial activities for the project including; control and advice on all programmes and project budgets; long term strategic funding plan for the project and day-to-day financial records and expenditure returns to funding bodies.
- To process all documentation, including payment, relating to payroll/wages and all Inland Revenue returns and responsible for all petty cash transactions.
Administrative
- General administrative duties including dealing with telephone calls, programme related administration, correspondence, managing files etc.
- To oversee the computerised monitoring system in recording and monitoring of programme and service activities.
- To assist with the marketing and promotion of the project.
- To prepare agenda, minutes and papers for meetings this will also involve acting as secretary to the meetings and identifying and initiating any actions arising from each of the meetings.
- To ensure the smooth running of the office in the absence of the other staff
- It will be expected that the post holder will be capable of drafting reports, letters and documents for management and users.
