The Axis project in the greater Belfast area has received funding from the European Social Fund (ESF) for a three year period to develop a range of training and employment initiatives for adults. The post holder will be responsible for the collating, recording and systematic filing of all records in relation to the administration and monitoring of the ESF programme. The postholder will manage three project staff and be responsible for the timely submission of both quarterly and annual financial and operational claims to the European Office and facilitation of all audits relating to the programme.

Contract Status: Permanent subject to continued funding

Salary: £20,882 rising to £29,212 per annum (subject to review)

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week (inclusive of meal breaks)

Location: Graham House, 1-5 Albert Square, Belfast, BT1 3EQ

Payment: Monthly directly into bank account (via BACS)

Holidays: 26 days on entry to grade plus 11 statutory days. Holiday entitlement increases after 3 and 5 years service

Pension Scheme: Contributory pension scheme.Employer contribution 6.5%, employee contribution minimum of 3.5% of salary. Scheme membership includes additional benefits of Life Assurance and Permanent Health Insurance. Further details provided on selection.

Essential Criteria:

  • Candidates must be AAT qualified or have an equivalent accounting related qualification and have a minimum of 3 years' experience of developing and maintaining administrative, financial and information management systems. Candidates must also have at least 1 year's experience of managing staff.
  • OR have 5 year's experience of developing and maintaining administrative, financial and information management systems together with 1 year's experience of managing staff.
