The Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health is a registered charity concerned with the promotion of mental health and the provision of mental health services throughout Northern Ireland.

Due to ongoing development of Supported Housing in South Belfast applications are invited for the following posts:

2 x Senior Project Workers – 37 Hours per Week
Ref No: AMH/SPW/07/36
Salary Range: £19,638 - £23,890

The successful applicant will work closely with the Home Manager in providing effective and efficient management of the Supported Housing Scheme.

The successful applicant will be a good organiser, flexible and have a positive approach to team work, be proactive and have the ability to manage and supervise a team of staff.

Essential Criteria

  • Professional qualification for example:
  1. Professional social work qualification recognised by NISCC.
  2. Registered nurse with current pin number with NMC.
  3. Relevant post graduate qualification in psychology or equivalent.
  • Plus a minimum of 2 year’s experience of working in a social care setting.
  • Or
  • NVQ level 3 in social care plus a minimum of 4 year’s experience in a social care setting including a minimum of 2 years in a community mental health setting
  • Or
  • A minimum of 5 year’s experience in a social care setting including a minimum of 3 year’s experience in a community mental health setting.
  • A full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative traveling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.

Applicants will be expected to work flexibly on the rota applicable to the scheme.
