The Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health is a registered charity concerned with the promotion of mental health and the provision of mental health services throughout Northern Ireland.

The Association is currently interested in recruiting an Assistant Manager for their supported housing accommodation scheme at Cookstown.

Assistant Home Manager - Part Time 18 hours per week

Salary Scale: £9,554 - £11,622
Location: Newhaven Supported Housing Scheme, Cookstown

To assist the Home Manager in the effective and efficient management of the Supported Housing Scheme and to promote the objectives and principals of NIAMH. The major tasks will include monitoring quality standards set by NIAMH.

Essential Criteria:

  • Professional qualification for example:
  • -Professional social work qualification recognised by NISCC
  • -Registered nurse with current pin number with NMC.
  • -Relevant post graduate qualification in psychology or equivalent.
  • Plus a minimum of 2 year’s experience of working in a community care or supported housing setting which includes the supervision of staff and financial management.
  • Or
  • A minimum of 4 year’s experience in the provision of mental health services to include financial management and a minimum three years supervision of staff.
  • Can demonstrate experience of working in a community or hospital mental health setting
  • A full current driving licence and access to a car is essential. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.

Applicants will be expected to work flexibly on a shift basis, which will include evening, weekend and night cover.
