Cara-Friend, through its various helplines and other services, aims to provide a safe and confidential environment for lesbian, gay and bisexual persons of all ages above 16 to get support, receive information, share experiences, make friends and meet socially.

We have funding from DHSSPS to employ a Belfast-based Coordinator to provide comprehensive and efficient communication, administrative & financial support services for Cara-Friend.

Applicants should be independent self starters, able to work with, and enthuse, volunteers.

Essential criteria for the post includes 5 GSCE passes (or equivalent) to include Maths and English; at least three year’s administrative experience; financial experience; proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products and email; ability to take the initiative and work methodically with minimum supervision; ability to communicate effectively; and willingness to work flexible hours.

Salary: £18,450 on NJC Scale 5.

Terms: Permanent, subject to continued funding.
