The Rural Community Network is one of the leading organisations responsible for promoting community development and networking in rural communities throughout Northern Ireland.
It wishes to recruit a Local Project Officer to help implement a challenging and innovative community development programme, targeting isolated rural housing estates. The programme is managed by a partnership comprising RCN, CFNI, DARD, NIHE and IFI.
Salary: Points 26 to 31 (£20,295 to £24,000) starting at Point 26 – plus 6.5% pension
The Local Project Officer will implement the Rural Community Estates Programme in areas of weak community infrastructure and will be required to engage in a local community development process.
The successful candidate must have a relevant third level qualification, supported by two years paid full time employment in community development, or five years experience in a community development role. A current valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes are also essential.
