Our activities and services

The Strabane District Caring Services provides social, recreational, and educational services for marginalised groups in Strabane and the surrounding area.

1. Day care, domiciliary care, luncheon club and meals on wheels for older people and physically disabled adults.
2. Reablement project providing short term support for older people on their return home from hospital to promote their independence.
3. Sitting service - respite for informal carers
4. Arts and crafts project for disabled young adults.
5. Daily bingo for senior citizens.
6. Training and employment opportunities for long term unemployed through new deal, voluntary work, and direct employment.
7. Community transport - two buses (24 and 16 seater) with wheelchair access.

We also partner with a number of community groups and statutory organisations in Strabane and engage in activities with cross border organisations.
